Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Attends Dinner Hosted by Arab Ambassadors Council in China

On March 2, 2011, Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun at invitation attended the dinner hosted by Arab Ambassadors Council in China at the Saudi Arabian ambassador's residence. The dinner was attended by MFA Deputy Director-General Li Chen of the Department of West Asian and North African Affairs, Deputy Director-General Xie Bohua of the Protocol Department, Counsellor Qi Mei of the Department of Consular Affairs, Counsellor Xu Bin of the Administrative Department, ambassadors or charge d'affaires of 21 Arab countries as well as the representative of the Arab League to China.

Zhai reviewed the development process of China-Arab relations in recent years and thanked for the hard work the envoys have done over the years for developing the relations between Arab nations and China as well as Arab-China group dialogue and cooperation. He emphasized that China is ready to work with the Arab side to push China-Arab friendly cooperation in all areas to new levels.

The Arab envoys expressed satisfaction with the enhancement of China-Arab friendly cooperative relations in recent years, stressing their willingness to make greater contributions to further expanding and deepening China-Arab friendly cooperation in all areas.

Both sides also exchanged views on the regional situation and other issues of common concern.
